"Off shore" buyers, (or foreign investors) can borrow in Australia on basically the same terms and conditions as Australian nationals, but subject to Foreign Investment Review Board approval. (Refer to Foreign Investment tab)
Percentage of Loan to Purchase Price
In recent years Australian lending institutions have generally loaned up to 90% of the purchase price (Off Shore buyers; 50% to 80%), subject to the purchaser having secure employment and good asset backing.
